First, an extensive study and analysis of the phonological properties of light-sounding words is carried out, not just the light-sounding words that are read individually, but also of the prosody words that are light-sounding in the speech stream.

Second, the gentle voice changes are examined on two levels: diachronic and synchronic.

Finally, the specific syntactic structure of the "verb complement with object sentence" is selected and the interaction between prosody and syntax is discussed by examining the relationship between the phonetic features of the two-syllable complement, the style and legitimacy of the sentence.

About the Author
Deng Dan is an Associate Professor at the School of Chinese as a Second Language at Peking University. The main areas of research are experimental phonetics, second language acquisition, and second language teaching. He published the monograph "Research on Chinese Rhythmic Words", published more than 20 articles in key linguistic journals at home and abroad, directed or participated in a number of scientific research projects such as the National Social Science Fund.

本书以“轻声”为切入点，运用实验语音学的研究方法，聚焦于韵律与句法的互动，探讨韵律与句法的相互制约作用。首先，对轻声词的语音特征进行了全面的考察和分析，不仅考察了单念的轻声词，还考察了语流中包含轻声的韵律词。其次，从历时和共时两个层面对轻声的语音变化进行了考察。最后，选取“动补带宾句”这个特定的句法结构，通过考察其中双音节补语的语音特征、语体风格与句子合法性的关系，探讨了韵律与句法的相互制约作用。

作者简介
邓丹，北京大学对外汉语教育学院副教授。主要研究方向为实验语音学、二语习得与二语教学。出版专著《汉语韵律词研究》，在国内外语言学核心期刊发表论文20 多篇，主持或参与国家社科基金等科研项目多项。
