The textbook series Meihao consists of 4 volumes. This is Volume 3. This is an all-Chinese language textbook using only simplified Chinese characters and Hanyu Pinyin.
China has a vast territory and population, and exhibits the characteristics of a multi-ethnic, multi-lingual and multi-dialectic country. The popularization of the national common spoken and written language is a necessary condition for enhancing inter-ethnic and inter-regional exchanges and promoting the development of economy and culture. Against this background, Beijing Language and Culture University Press planned and developed the nationwide language learning book Meihao especially for the people in the border areas.
The Meihao textbook series consists of 4 volumes: This is Volume 1. Volume 1 mainly teaches the terms used by family members; the second volume examines mainly the communication concepts between family members in a broadened area; the third volume mainly examines the social language outside the home in the villages and rural areas, the fourth volume deals mainly with the language in the city. The difficulty of vocabulary, grammar and sentence patterns does increase from volume to volume.
After completing Volume 3 you will be able to read about 1200 words and write about 450 words.

《美好》系列教材共4册：第1册主要学习家庭内部成员间用语；第2册主要学习更大范围家庭成员间交往用语；第3册主要学习庭院外、村镇内社交用语；第4册主要学习村镇外、城市里用语。词汇、语法、句型的难度逐册上升。
本册为第3册，共10个单元，分别为“串门儿”“邻里之间”“婚丧嫁娶”“天伦之乐”“在集市”“饲养山羊”“田间地头”“农业指导”“乡村事务”“娱乐生活”。学完本册可进行村镇内社会交往，基本无障碍参与家庭周边的社会活动，可认读约1200个字，会写约450个字。
